Kim,
You work 2 jobs. You DESERVE a housekeeper to come in a few times a month!
In Los Angeles, I find them pretty easily, and for cheap. Check you Penny Saver.
I also use Craig's List. My current housekeeper I got from there, and she is AWESOME.
For a 2 bed/2 bath, I pay anywhere from $50 - $75 once every 3 weeks.

You sound like everyone else I know including myself. When hiring anyone to do cleaning for you, first of all make sure you know exactly what you want done, make a list to exact specifications as you would be surprised as to what a cleaning service will and will not do. Then shop around and interview each and every one of them. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT give anyone your keys until you have checked and double checked, to include a background with your local police department. Make sure they are bonded, have references and check those also. Then you will be so happy that you did this. It will be worth whatever it is you pay if you have done your homework. Trust me, I have been there and done that. And the friendship you form with your housekeeper will be one that you will treasure forever. Happy shopping, and Happy Thanksgiving!!! Cindy Roo!!!

I know from experience they charge so much a room. I have done cleaning all my life. These maid services are good but to expensive. I think hiring someone out right is better. I would be willing to talk further with you about this. send me a email to sunshine101658@yahoo.com. I think I have alot to offer.

In our area, there is a business called "Rent A Maid." They are supposed to be very good. Also, go to the Real Simple site if you are stuck in the meantime. They have great checklists and ways to cut the cleaning time in half. I HATE CLEANING, ALSO!

Meet my friend Google. Google will turn up many results for anything you need.
http://www.google.com
Just type in 'Maid Service' into the toolbar and you will have many results to choose from, and you can get a maid in your area.

Think "maid" less, and think Housecleaning Service more.
