you need to decide what sort of memorable day you'd like to choose.
something memorable to you personally...when a sibling was born, when something happened in your family?

or a memorable day for society....Sept 11, or the night the Red Sox won the World Series, or the day OJ Simpson was acquitted.

once you choose your day, sit down and make a list of everthing you know about it. if you're doing an important day to society, look it up online. you could take it from your personal point of view (I stayed up late to see the Red Sox play) or you could do it third person (The American media had been stalking OJ Simpson nonstop).
Do whatever feels natural and makes the most sense.

A memorable day in your life or in history?
If in your life I suggest a day a loved on died or was born, or a day that you started a new school or a holiday.

In history, maybe the day the Challenger blew up, 9/11, or the day JFK died.
