Yes. The PS3 is backward compatible with the previous PS2 and PS1 games. There are some games that fail to play, but there's supposed to be a software patch that Sony is putting out to correct the problem. One of the smartest things Sony every did was to make their Play Station systems backward compatible, so you can always play your favorite Play Station games no matter how old they get.

I was reading Circuit City in the newspapaper and it said it plays Ps2 games so yes.

if u mean ps2 games yea it can play ps2 and ps1 games. but there is a bug in the system so like 200 ps2/ps1 games it cant play
