No sweetie, lysol is a disinfectant. It cleans off germs but is not a detergent. Your will need to clean any surface with a cleaning substance then use your lysol afterwards. If the area you are using is for food preparation I would not use the lysol, but would use some other type of cleaning/disinectant.

I think lysol does make suface cleaner as well as disinfectant. Go check at a store. It is not for clothes or dishes though if that's what you're thinking.
