In order to sign a lease you have to be an adult which is 18. However, a lot of landlords will not rent to someone that young because they have no credit history, job history, or renters history that can be checked to see if they are reliable.

You have to be 18 years old to execute a lease. If you sign a lease and you are not 18 plus than anything in that contract would be null and void and the landlord would not be responsible for all liability of the contract.
