My husband played guitar in the 80s. Recently he has been interested in playing again and I want to surprise him with getting him the same type of guitar that he played in the 80s. Originally he said it was a Kramer XL1, but after researching the XL1 I found out it was made in 1989. Which would make it not the guitar he had been playing since he had joined the Army in 1990 and he'd been playing for years before that. After talking with him, he said that the guitar was the same type that George Lynch played. So, I figure it is a Kramer but I don't know which model of Kramer. If anybody can help, that would be so helpful. Thank you ahead of time.

George didn't play Kramer guitars, although he owned a Barretta at one point.

George played Charvel, ESP and J. Frog guitars. Most of the ESPs did have the Kramer-ish "tube sock" headstock, but they were ESPs nonetheless.

The Kamikaze and animal print guitars were both ESPs. The Bones guitars were J. Frogs.
