For the past 3 years, I've been feeling lonely and sad all the time. My parents said when I was little, I use to be the positive one in the family. Now I'm either just really depressed or mad at someone. Please help me. I know I don't need a therapist but I once wanted to not live anymore..Once, but I still feel sad..What's wrong with me?!

You don't understand what my name means so don't make assumptions. I do NOT need a therapist!

Do you have any friends? You need to get a social life if you don't already have one. Good luck. I hope you feel better.

There is Nothing "Wrong" with you.
I get times in my life that my life is challenging too. I also do not like people who are obviously fake and I do NOT like people who lie. I will call them on it when they do. I am proud that I am an honest. If you find yourself around the negative people, stay away from them, they will bring you down in a heartbeat. Try to find some upbeat people to hang around. I smile, even at the grumpy people. I have found that even the "grumpy" people are not always grumpy. They are sometimes just sad or having a bad day. I work in the health care field and I cannot assume anything. Things are never what they seem. Try giving some people a chance. Never be fake, you will not be true to yourself. Get out and meet some friendly upbeat people. I do not know your age. Do you go to school? Do you work? What are some of your interests? Try to find some people that have your interests. I know that sometimes when I do not feel like going somewhere at all, when I do, I actually enjoy myself more than I thought I would. I agree with the lady above. Church's have singles groups and they have youth groups. They have activity's that you could start off with. You never know where that can take you. Killing yourself is not the answer. It solves nothing. You could just make yourself worse off than before. Have you seen a doctor? I am sure you probably have? Does he have you on Medication for depression? Is that what he diagnosed you with? If you are on Medication, you need to take it as prescribed. If you are taking it and you don't see any results, you need to let him know so he can try putting you on something different. Don't give up. I know you don't think so, but there is hope. Feel free to email me @ greg120750@yahoo.com

Give it a chance. I will be praying for you.
Greg

You do need a therapist. And what is it with your name 2good4u? If you are too good for us then why ask for our help?

Anyways, you are probably just a kid who had a tough upbringing. Not knowing anything more about you, I would say to see a therapist. Depression that is ongoing is not normal.

On the contrary you DO need a therapist. Sounds like depression to me. I take medication for depression and If i didn't i would be miserable...Check it out, it can't hurt.
