Doler Conjugation

Doler really means to hurt in the passive voice:

Me duele la espalda. = My back hurts me.

It's conjugated like gustar (singular and plural forms depending on what "hurts"). So, if something hurt in the past tense, you'd say:

Me dolio (accent on o) la cabeza. = My head hurt. or
Le dolieron las piernas. = His legs hurt.

To say that someone got injured (active voice) you'd use the reflextive verb, lastimarse, which would conjugate as a regular ar verb in the preterite:

Me lastime (accent on e) la espalda. = I injured my back.
Te lastimaste el pie. = You injured your foot.
Se lastimo (accent on o) el rodillo. = He injured his knee.

Etc.

Hope this helps.

Doler is essentially regular in the preterite, but it really wouldn't be used in that tense. The verb doesn't mean "injure", it basically means "to cause pain". The subject is the thing that causes pain. If the person hurt his or her leg(s), for instance, you could conceivably say "le dolió la pierna" or "le dolieron las piernas". It's really unlikely anyone actually would say either of those things, though. Instead you'd use the imperfect tense "le dolía la pierna" or "le dolían las piernas" because the pain continued over time. In the preterite it would be much more likely to say "se rompió la pierna" (he or she broke their leg). You could also say something like "Ella se hirió" (She was injured ... she hurt herself.)

You can use the verb doler only when referring to something that hurts you, ex. me duele la cabeza = I have headache
To say that you feel pain you HAVE to say : tengo dolor
duelo, dueles, etc. does not mean something, u can use it only saying: te duelo, me dueles, etc.
To say he was injured you have to say: estaba herido
the verb is: herir
