I'm comparing children's music around the world. I would like to know songs that every child grows up singing - like the USA's Mary Had a Little Lamb, or Three Blind Mice. Titles, words, or resources would be a great help! Thank you.

One of the most popular songs for many generations of children in Israel is : " Uga uga uga " The words mean :
Around , around , around .
In a circle we go
We will go around for the whole day
Until we find a place to sit down and then get up again .

The actual words in transliteration are:
Uga uga uga
bama'agal nachuga
nistoveva kol hayom
Ad asher nimtsa makom
lashevet velakum.

The Canoe Song (traditional)

My paddle's keen and bright,
Flashing with silver.
Follow the wild goose flight,
Dip, dip, and swing.

I don't know, but I bet a lot of them have the line "death to America" somewhere in them! Sad, but true.
