It can eat away at the roofing if left on for a long time. A push broom usually can take off most of the moss without damaging the roof surface. Zinc flashing strips should be installed along the ridge line to kill any moss that remains and prevent any new growth.

Not at all. It does not damage tiles at all. I think it adds a bit of character to the house. The only thing you need to watch out for is that bits of moss roll off periodically and some of it ends up in the guttering, which will need to be checked and cleared about once a year.

The North side of houses have moss and turn green because the sun doesn't shine much from the North.
It depends on the buyers .If they care about the moss. If you want to be sure , take the moss down and pressure spray if necessary.

Mostly this is not a problem until the moss becomes detached and blocks up your gutters. Then your gutters overflow and you get damp walls etc. If you decide to remove the moss don't walk on your tiles etc as you will crack them causing leaks into you roof space.

You can expect to get less money for your house because of an obvious problem such as this. Fortunately, this is something that is easily rectified. There are many products available to kill moss.
You might want to do that before selling the house. The next homeowner can trim the trees back when they have problems with it in the future.

Theres always moss about on roofs, I wouldnt worry about it. Its not as invasive as ivy and generally gets burnt off by the sun in summer.
