You believe in something as long as you are gaining, or believe you are going to gain something from it.
If you lose it, then you may feel 'lost' for a while but you realise there are other things in life and yo get on with it.

Your focus will be on outcome. How important is the outcome to you? That is how long you should apply your Faith to it. There is another thing which happens when you keep your Faith working for you. It summons. It brings support from far places, and often answers will come, like tonight, from whence and where you least expect them to. You must truly hand it all over into God's hands, and only you will know inside yourself whether or not you have truly done this. You completely hand it over to Him, and go about your way. That is the Faith part. In things unseen. Give God a chance to work a Miracle, here. I will give you an example to refresh your Faith: I was terrified and killing myself with alcohol over eighteen years ago and I got down on my knees and asked God to help me stop. He heard and answered my prayer to Him. You have to mean it. I have been sober for over eighteen years. Yes, there is a God, and yes, God answers prayer. All you are asked is to be sincere and mean it with everything you have within you. The rest is in His very capable hands. Time will bring the ring of truth to my words to you here. Please have a pleasant evening, now, and go about your way in peace. Sent with love from Chris, in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old now and do not miss the hangovers at all!)

If you lose faith then seek it out again. Keep it until the end of your time." For Lo, I will be with you even until the ends of the earth." Jesus.( Mat 28:20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
Faith is but a seed. Feed it with The Word of God and it will grow.

Ihave had the same problem. Just move on and find something else to put your trust in. Life gets like that at times.......it like climbing a ladder..you take a couple of steps, fall down, climb again fall again but you still go on trying to get to the top. If you have lost faith in something....God or a person...then learn to have faith in yourself.

i think the movie "DOGMA" summed it up the best when they are talking and they say..."faith is lke a cup, when your little the cup is easy to fill but as you get older the cup gets bigger and is harder to fill"
Personally i think if you have faith in something you are passionate about it doesnt even come into question. If you actively believe and nurture your passion/belief the faith is just there, you just need to find something you believe in first.

If you are keeping the faith it is easy to lose, but if you have faith in Jesus, He is the one that keeps you even when you lose faith. So what's left, your secure eternal glory in heaven. Jesus the same, yesterday, today and forvever. (Book of Hebrews)

from the moment that you are born you are attached to something that shapes your vision of the world for most of us its out mother to help us provide life to ourself when theing or people let us down we lose hope in certain things and find our own path to discovery im very spiritial and have faith in everything positive and innnocently beatiful around me then you discover that you have to live for your self and what you belive is right you come in this world alone and you will die alone no one else has your mind faith is in the mind of the beholder

For eternity and beyond... I will never lose my faith... sixty-one years, rising sixty-two... and it gets stronger by the minute... more so, when others try to destroy it with their empty words and envy!

Funny thing you should write this now... just been outside looking at the sky and saying this very thing to God... thinking about people who every day, attack my faith and defying them again... and once again, throwing my eternal love for Him into the sky...

"If you follow me, you will be persecuted for my sake..."

Thank for letting me testify once again;-)

You believe until you cannot. It is just that simple.

What is left? The chance to look for something else to believe in.
Or you can sit like a bump and wait to die.
Your choices are pretty simple.
