IN 1960 Fidel Castro takes over Cuba. Why doesnt America over throw Castro with the Platt Amendment?

Once we realize that Castro is a communist why dont we overthrow him?

Platt amendment was repealed. And I quote wikipedia:

Except for U.S. rights to Guantánamo Bay, the Platt Amendment provisions, which Cubans considered an imperialist infringement of their sovereignty, were repealed in 1934, when a new treaty with the U.S. was negotiated as a part of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt's "Good Neighbor policy" toward Latin America.

Didn't Cuba already throw out America? Vietnam also threw out America. Your'e now engaged in an unpopular war in the middle east . Haven't you learned anything? Obviously not!
