Hi

Its appropriate if an insulin needle is used for a child or a person who is slim with little or no fat covering the muscles.

the other response is correct, if you have little muscle mass then an insulin syringe coould be used. if no harm can then don't worry and be so quick to point an accusing finger. nurses have a hard enough job without people just watching and waiting for mistakes.

if IM, then hsould have used atleast 1 inch maybe 1 1/2 inch long needle, unless, you are really skinny, and not much muscle or fat or underlying tissue, then an insulin syringe would be appropriate

500mg of what? i take it that it wasnt insulin? Im a nurse myself and it doesnt really matter what type of injection syringe it was given in as long as the doage was correct of whatever it was that she was supposed to give you.
