I don't know if the Irish and Scots uniting 800 years ago would have made any difference to history .the question would need a lot more time to analyze the possible outcomes, but as the Scots are of Irish descent ,I don't think there would have been to many cultural differences.
The original inhabitants of Scotland ,when it was still referred to as Caladonia were the Picts ,these people were probably wiped out by the Scots coming over from Hibernia. As thre are no written records of the Scots invasion/migration to Caladonia there is very little to go on to determine how the two races dealt with each other when they clashed/met..But in the declaration of Abroath (obviously written much later than the Scottia tribes arriival in the North of Britain)There is a passage which talks of how the Scots wiped out the Picts .
Simiarly no-one is entirley sure when the Germanic tribes arrived on this island in the 5th century whether they wiped out the original inhabitants (misleadingly called the Celts) or co lived with them .It is just assumed by people in general that the Jutes,Saxons etc attacked and forced them off the land pushing them westward to Wales Devon ,Cornwall Cumbria and across the sea to N France,it may well have been that the Germanics stopped before they reached those areas ,although there is plenty of evidence that they were prevelant in the Scottish lowlands .

hi! properly first ingredient is you will want a visa to artwork in eire - in all probability a similar in Scotland. It relies upon what you propose working at. basically Irish and ecu voters get selection at jobs and its on condition which you won't be in a position to get somebody for the activity which you would be able to employ somebody from outdoors. in case you're searching for informal artwork you will have not got any difficulty. relies upon the place you wanna stay in eire. Dublin could be costly. Scotland is a stunning place besides the undeniable fact that it may get very chilly in the iciness. stable success!

@ roosterman: For God's sake, 800+ years ago, there was no Protestantism! All they had in theat region was Catholicism.
It could've been plausible, though there could be some cultural differences.
