No pet is ever cheap, even if you got it for free. You will need a lot of supplies for a sugar glider and they do require vet care. Are you willing to provide all that?
Remember if you can't (or are not willing to afford) the vet, you can't afford the pet. It's not easy to find a vet that cares for sugars on a regular basis, so you may end up spending more for a vet who's miles away from you.
The first thing they require is a knowledgeable owner though. Are you one or are you willing to become on BEFORE you get the sugar glider?
Pets depend on us for everything. Take care of them.

Sugar gliders aren't cheap, and aren't quiet either.
Best of luck to you if you do get them, they are nasty little buggers.

My friend has 2 of them and they are doing very well. They require less time to care for than a normal bird. She got hers in Culpepper Va. You can search on google.com for breeders.

they are exotic animals, and should not be pets. they are very difficult to care for, and if they are priced cheap, they are probably sick, or someone couldn't care for it. get a puppy or hamster.
