Could the Germans get to Ireland.
The President refused to help the Germans and would not join allies- even with offer of N.Ireland.
Though they did lean towards Britian in help.

The Irish question was a vexing one even at the time of the Napoleonic wars when Irish Rebels would either actively fight for or pass intelligence to the French as they hoped Napoleon would overthrow British rule. The Abwehr in WWII were known to have approached members of the IRA to help in the fight against Britain but the counter-intelligence units were so effective at that time that Irish efforts to sabotage the war effort proved to be negligible and the Abwehr stopped. The German army were not too succesful at crossing seas, and the Kriegsmarine could not guarantee a safe passage over either the English Channel or the Atlantic Ocean for an invasion force the size needed in Ireland, though in the aftermath of operation dynamo the Channel Islands were succesfully invaded. The only real possibility was to conduct an air drop similar to the one in Crete, however the failure of the Luftwaffe to clear the air of the RAF meant no clear air corridor for lumbering transport aircraft and thus any invasion force may have lost half its strength before reaching the target. In any case Ireland was a fairly minor prize having no real strategic or military importance (if you wanted to invade from Ireland you still had to cross the sea so why not just from France which is closer to London?) and lacking the mineral wealth of the rest of Europe.
In WWI various uprisings detracted from the strength available to the British at the Western Front. It is not known how far German involvement can be traced in this but certainly there were agent provacateurs there before the war.

He replaced into born in 16 April 1927; which skill on the top of WWII (7 ought to 1945, at the same time as the German device of resign replaced into signed), he had basically became 18 years previous. He replaced right into a baby, conscripted into the military at the same time as he replaced into 14 years previous. i'm no longer Catholic; i'm Jewish, so i'm particular you are able to be certain out about how a lot love I have for the Germans of that day. yet i do not assume a baby to act as a guy. next time, in the previous you reduce someone down, examine your info, because immediately, you sound like an fool.

The only way that the Germans used Ireland was to teach their spies to speak English with an Irish accent. They could land them by submarine in Ireland, and since it was neutral they could then travel freely to Britain. They might have sounded German to the Irish, but they sounded completely Irish in Britain, so they went unsuspected.

Ireland remained neutral and if planes crash landed in Ireland (which they did, one about 30 mins from where I live) after a dog fight and the pilot happened to survive he was arrested and sent back home after the war. Ireland done everything to remain neutral and did so. Germany would never been able to use Ireland for that purpose

Ireland was neutral. Some people consider this an act of cowardice but after the way the Irish were treated by the English, who could blame them. What they would have done if England had been defeated by the Germans though - Hitler would probably not have respected their neutrality.

Because of the royal navy and airforce there was little chance of the germans landing in Irland, and surely if they were going to make a landing it would be in England.
