I have a question. About three weeks ago I had sex with my boyfriend. Im on the pill and I always take it at the same time. We had sex that weekend and on that monday I got my wisdom teeth out. The knocked me out completly for the procedure and put me on hydroconie, percaset, and another anitbiotic after that. I continued taking my pills as usual and the antibiotics. My period was suppose to come 10 days ago and didn't. The only thing I had was some brown discharge in my underware the day before I was suppose to have my period. I took 5 different pregnancy tests---the 5 day before your period one and then I took one this morning also. They all came out negative. I don't have any signs of being pregnant--Im a little more tired than usual but that's about it. What do you think caused my missed period? Im really really freaking out and have probably spent over $100 on pregnancy tests but they all came out negative. Please help with any advice you may have!!!

One more thing--I was completly knocked out for the procedure and they put me on prilosec, codine, and one more antibiotic during the time. If I missed my period and had sex 19 days ago wouldn't the hormone show up already if I took 5 preg tests?

Most antibiotics will interfere with birth control. When taking antibiotics it will keep the birth control from working properly. They should have told you that if they knew what medications you are on.
Take a preg. test. It is possible you could be pregnant. Even if you had sex before taking the antibiotic it could still make you pregnant. Sperm can live inside you for up to seven days.

You can call your dentist and ask him if there were any possible reactions between the antibiotics and your bc.
If your ten days late, I would recommend calling your doctor and asking to have a clinical pregnancy test. They are much more accurate.
You might be late due to the surgery, stress, or even have just psyched yourself out.

If you were put under anesthesia, that could effect your cycle. I would give it a week or so, and then try another test. Of course, take care of yourself as if you ARE pregnant, just in case!

PENICILLEN(THE ANTIBIOTIC) WILL DECREASE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF YOUR PILL!!!! NO MATTER IF YOU TAKE IT PERFECTLY OR NOT!!!!!!!!!! and it is way more likely to get a false negative on a pregnancy test than a false positive. go talk to your doctor immediately!!

Go to your docter, it could be an infection.
