My skin tone is light, and I have blonde hair. I'm looking for a good eyeshadow color. Browns don't work. It just makes me look lighter, and Pink just doesn't work. I need some good brands, and colors.

Hi,
I have always got my idea's on what colour eye makeup, blush, lipstick and the way to apply from famous people with similar hair and eye colouring as me.

Former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins is a good example. She has fair skin and blonde hair and her makeup looks great. The same goes for Jennifer Aniston.

If you go to goggle images you will get some good ideas

OK i think i know what you are looking for, now with the foundation the base of your make up in order to see if that will even match your skin tone before you buy take a little dab and rub on your hand near your thumb {not the inside but on the outside} and if it seems to blend in with your skin tone than thats the one. I am not to sure what type of brands would work best for the type of your skin you really didnt give us an idea on what kind of skin you have but i normally use maybeline or covergirl those work best for me. you did mention that you had blond hair and again didnt say what color eyes you have so if you have brown eyes the best color to use is a light blue color and black eyeliner that helps bring out the brown eyes the best and it matches with anything now if you have blue/green eyes the best color for you would be a creme color {its a very very light light brown} you can also get a dark brown color now with this you put the creme color on your eyelid and than with the dark brown color you have to use a thin brush and gently put some on the bottom of your eye lid right before your eyelashes and than use a black eyeliner for your eyelids and that helps bring out the color of your eyes. for lipstick for lipstick on me normally a clear gloss works best therefor all the attention is focused at my eyes and not my lips {i like it better that way} but a creme color on your lips also works best cause it matches the light brown on your eyes. See with me i have red hair and blue eyes so i tend to bring the blue out in my eyes and i use three colors for my eyes a dark brown a light brown and a creme color i normally mix all the colors in on my eyelid and than i put black eyeliner on my eye lid and than mascara and it helps bring out the blue in my eyes. i use a creme color gloss for lips somedays or i use a clear lip gloss other days. i hope this helps you out some.

Go to mall makeup counter and let them help you, they will try makeup on you, bring like $20 bucks so you can buy one thing after so you don't look cheesy, you can get a makeover for the price of an eyeshadow, and you'll know it looks good on you. Good Luck.

Get up close to the mirror and check out your eyes. What color flecks do you see in your eyes? Golds? Greens? Browns? Lavendars?? See if you can find some shadow colors that match the flecks and play with those.

Metallic colors, oceanic colors and jungle colors. And maybe a medium plum or rozy brown could work. Try it! Hope this helped, good luck and have fun... =)
