Stupid yes, but some people have the money and don't care. Or, they really want that player for their kid. Or, the are gamers that have to be the first on the block to have the newest toy for bragging rights.

I was just listening to a tech radio talk show. They were discussing the new games. Leo Laporte of KFI radio out of Los Angeles is giving SONY a thumbs down for the ps3.
They recommended some other game. I'll be damned if I can remember what it is. Was an odd name.
I've always thought people were stupid for standing in lines for new games or toy. Getting into fights over dolls and video games or whatever the latest craze is. Spending that kind of money for something that will be worthless in a couple years doesn't make any sense to me.

If they are rich, it isn't stupid. If you are middle class or lower, that is stupud. Some people think it's worth killing for the PS3, whether they want to sell it or play it. I'm not surprised by the violence, it was bound to happen.

Unless you have money to burn its pretty stupid, and people trampling others to get to it first are sick individuals who care only for their own gratification and have no compassion whatsoever.
