yes never open attatchments from emails addresses you don't recognize and be very wary of downloading exe files from sources you don't trust, such as limewire. also make sure you keep your operating system up to date using windows update. you can also use a firewall if you don't have one. zone alarm is quite good and free, much better than the sp2 firewall.

You first try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus. You have to decide the date. The problem will be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
After running the virus scan delete all temprory internet files including off line content and also unwanted files and temp. files. Finally, carryout a defragmentation . Your system will be back to the normal...!

All the above work, (especially the one about Mozilla FireFox) very well but I recommend to not install too many anti-spyware programs because having too many of them will make your computer run as slow as a computer with a virus. Also never download P2P Programs (Like Limewire, BitComet or CyberTorrent) or shady toolbars (Like HotBar, CyberSwim Toolbar or those phony eBay Toolbars) if you are intended to download a toolbar go with a name brand like Yahoo or Google or Live Search (that's Microsoft's new MSN Search) IF you are still interested though in AntiSpys go with Win Defender, Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware, and Comodo Firewall (i think comodo is spelled correctly?)

Good software firewall on the computer that makes you aware of the programs that are trying to access the internet (like comodo http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
) so that you can permit and evaluate what your computer is doing. Some viruses are so new that the antivirus software makers have not created appropriate definitions for them yet so the scan will miss them. Its really a best effort situation.

Yeah, AOL (yes, aol) has released a free virus killer which is a rebranded version of the excellent Kaspersky Lab Antivirus. Once you have it installed and after you have scanned your computer for any viruses, If you do happen to get any new viruses it has a resident virus shield which will constantly scan your computer.

First, enable me inform you that cyber web Explorer is a secure practices black hollow; it sucks up each risky element on the internet. i could *heavily* propose getting Mozilla Firefox. it extremely is loose, and that's extra preserve. something that could help (briefly) is becoming a clean profile and deleting your old one. this might nicely be a speedy restoration, and it would not final continuously. yet another element you're able to do is substitute your laptop's IP handle. think of of it like a telephone type; if no person is usual with it, no person can call you. There are some consumer-friendly consumer-friendly strategies to try this, yet i choose for to propose calling your ISP, and asking them to stroll you thru it. yet another secondary element to do could be to do an consumer-friendly gadget cleanup. or you should abandon abode windows and turn to between the wondrous Linux distributions. Sorry, had to plug that in the time of :p. besides, wish that enables! Pax!
