hey foks,
we are looking for somewhere to stay for two nights on the zimbabwe side of victoria falls - we are aiming to spend about $50USD per person per night.
any suggestions greatly accepted!

Zambia is the better side to stay than Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is a bit sketchy at present. There are several B&Bs to stay at in Livingstone, Zambia. Try Jollyboys Backpackers or Zig-Zag B&B in town. Another place would be the Taita Falcon Lodge...located on the Zambezi River gorge downriver from the falls. The Royal Livingstone is around $500 a night, but I would suggest stopping by for "high tea" on Sundays. It's a treat! All of the above can be found on google.

"elephants hill" or "the kingdom"
but you never know if you will have service, food, petrol to move arround or electricity.
