You might want to try an anti-inflammatory (such as Naproxen). Another good idea is to get your doctor to write you out a prescription for birth control. It helped me and I no longer get cramps when my friend comes along

I sympathyze, because I know how you feel. The only pills that have ever worked for me have been Advil Liquid-Gels Extra Strength, take 2 of those, hunny, and you will be fine. But since you already took 3 pills, that might be a bit dangerous. So for now, apply as much heat as you can. You are going to have to ask yourself which you find more uncomfortable, cramps, or the heat. Drink a lot of water and even (I know it's the last thing you want to do right now) try and move around. Get up and walk or hop up and down a bit. You stomach is tighening to try and flush out your womb, so by lying down, you aren't much help.
And if that doesn't help, you are going to have to wait it out. It will pass. It won't last longer than an hour. Remember next time, as soon as you feel those cramps coming on, pop a couple of those advils and your cramps won't be half as bad, hope this helps!
Get well soon!

DO NOT DRINK ANY CAFFEINE WHATSOEVER!!!
DO NOT EAT ANY CHOCOLATE WHATSOEVER!!!
As much as your body may crave these things before and during your cycle, don't do it - they contribute to cramps very bad.
Also, I don't know what kind of pills you have taken, but if you wait at least 4-6 hours since your last dose, why don't you try to take four ibuprofen? I know that sounds like a lot, it equals 800 mg, but it won't hurt you, I promise. When doctors actually prescribe ibuprofen, they do it in 800-1,000 mgs. See how that helps, and keep trying the heat - especially after you have taken some ibuprofen. Just in case you don't know what that is - a brand name of ibuprofen is Advil.

I have the same problem- lay down in the bathtub w/ warm water and listen to music. Or, take Tylenol if you think you will start to cramp, so the pain relief will come faster.

take a warm ubble bath, or if you don't feel like sitting in the tub, get a heating pad and place it on your abdomen. drink some chamomile tea: it has a natural relaxant in it that will calm the muscle spasms.
if you had sex, you could be having a miscarriage, and if then you need to see a doctor.
hope you feel better

take a really hot bath (but dont burn urself) and then try to take a nap. another thing is...dont try to stop the cramps with ur muscles, because that only makes it worse. when they come...just relax ur stomach muscles and take deep breathes. Also, try to massage the area where it hurts a little bit. hope u feel better soon!

Get active. Go out and run or shop or do something. When you are active, it helps and it takes your mind off of the pain also.
