My husband,well ex,whatever...
last year we went christmas shopping and he took me to the jewelry section and asked me what I would like and I pointed out this necklace and he said he would get it for his mom. This necklace was real nice and it cost over $600 and he's NEVER spent that much on me before so I was pretty pissed when he asked me if I liked it and then said it was for his mom and to top it off he made me wrap the damn thing. Well Christmas came and as we were opening presents ,the first gift he gave me was perfume, the second was a bear holding a box of some beautiful earrings, so I got a little happier but then he asked if I looked under the shirt. When I lifted the shirt I saw the necklace, I was sooo surprised, he said"and all this time you were just jealous of yourself" I was surprised, happy, and embaressed all at the same time. I thought that was so sweet. it's not just the gift that counts, it's how you give it in just the right way.

18 months ago I put my son (he's 4 now) in foster care so that I might receive the alcohol rehab I needed to be the best mom I can. He comes home, to a sober, solid, loving home, for good December 15th. No greater gift!

My Hubby came home from work and rang the door bell then hid and when I opened the door there was one of those Grey Tatty Teddy bears (you can get them in Clintons), he was sitting on the doorstep and he had a snowball in his paws, my Hubby had written on the little tag 'My name is cold fingers'. It was so cute and such a surprise, defo one of my faves.

Nothing! I tend to get rubbish gifts. I must be really difficult to buy for. LOL I'm always grateful though. I'd never be miserable with anyone for making an effort.
