It depends on which state you are in... a quick search on the web showed in the state of New Jersey there's a minimum of 25 days community service and a maximum of 90 days in jail.

Most of the time they will give you a fine to pay and you will not be allowed in that store. You will probably get put on probation for about 1-3 years. Then you can not get into trouble of any kind and you might have to do some community service. And depending on your age you may not be able to into the store until you are 18 years old. And they will have warned all the other stores about you. So just stay out of those stores. Good Luck

Depends on your age, # of offenses, and if you have an attorney or not. Also depends on your state, the particular ADA (assistant district attorney), the Store representative or lawyer, the Judge and other factors. If you did it, simply plead guilty, explain why and take responsibility for your actions. Of course, you may wish to speak with your attorney before saying anything in open court. As you know, you shouldn't shoplift, cuz you could have avoided all this.

A schoolmate, Kayla did this actually. She ended up having to go to a special shoplifting class to learn not to do it again. However just because you say you've 'learned your lesson' doesn't mean you actually have. And that's exactly what the judge might think considering you've done it twice to the same store even if it is in different locations.

Tell the truth, express that you are truly sorry for what you have done. You have learned your lesson and will NEVER do this again tell them that.
Court is scary and they make it that way to deter you from doing this again.
They will likely charge you with some kind of fine, and make you do some community service (like cleaning a rec center). Unless you were stealing something worth a lot of $$, like a computer or a car, you have a bout a 0% chance of going to jail.

Probably diversion class, and/or fines. Don't worry about it too much. You will have this on your permanent criminal record and it can cause you to have a hard time finding a decent job.
Bad choice- BOTH times!!

you may have to do community service or spend 3 days in jail... please don't take anything that doesn't belong to you. that is not only selfish and rude but it is also a crime.
