My husband and I have been trying to have our second child for almost a whole year. I had all of my periods this year except for August, October and November. I have been going to the bathroom every five seconds it seems like and my breasts are a little tender. I know this sounds bad but I am afraid to take a pregnancy test for the fear of it being negative. What do you think I should do?

Okay, time to face your fears because it's important to know! It is not mature to avoid it because your afraid of it being negative, not knowing isn't going to change the result.
Get a blood test at your doctors it will be the most accurate. If it's negative then you can talk to your doctor about how you've been trying for almost a whole year, your periods are irregular and see what can be done to give you a more regular cycle which is the first step towards success!
My husband and I had no problem concieving our first, but the second took over a year. Once I talked to our doctor and did something about it I was pregnant the very next month. I should never have waited, they say 6 months is the longest you should try before talking to your doctor. Besides it's important to start taking prenatal vitamins prior to becoming pregnant, as it is proven to reduce birth defects due to the high folic acid. Many doctors would like you to be on them 6 months prior to even trying.
Good luck!

you sound like me when i was pregnant with my second child.. i was so afraid that i WOULD be pregnant and i didn't want to take a test or go to the doctor.. (but i had a 2 month old when i was pregnant for my second child) but you need to either take a home test then see a doctor or go see a doctor... cause if you are not pregnant then could be something wrong if you haven't had a period in 3 months.. i hope that this helps you..

You have to take it. If it's negative then try to not feel bad. You'll get pregnant, it's just that sometimes it takes longer to get pregnant. You might be already. Find out
