Hello why don't we ignore gay bashers on yahoo answers? Our replies fuel them... I know some people have real questions that are worded poorly, but I'm talking about the obvious ones.

Also if someone answers with an insult can you delete the answer.

THanks.

I'm obviously talking about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered section. Duh... so why are people all coming here if they dislike gays, not all yahoo answers.

I can't understand. I don't dislike a group so much to waste all my day putting them down.

I agree sometimes we answer to shed some light into them. Hope.

I totally agree. Not only can you give the answer a "thumbs down" and "hide" the message, you can report the person and usually their comment will be removed without you having to say anything to them.

I have a hunch that half the bashers are pretty confused themselves about their sexual orientation, and think that by bashing G&Ls it will prove they are straight. For the other half that are just plain hateful, they feed on the opportunity to hurt those whom they hate. They do not understand or care that their behavior diminshes them and all humanity. Can't really ever ignore them, but be vigilant to expose them to the light. Like roaches they will hopefully take off in the opposite direction.

You are correct and most times I try to ignore, but you know, sometimes you just can't help yourself. I mean, I admit it, I sometimes enjoy answering their questions, it's a guilty pleasure to skewer them with wit and smarts, since as you know, they have neither. Still I do try to stay above the fray. Indy T, as usual has the right idea.

Sometimes I'll give them an answer, but it isn't the one they want. Most of the time I simply report them and then check the screen name looking at all the questions they've asked and report each and every one that Violates community guidelines.

I routinely ignore them...You're right.....I now don't even read the questions...I look at the avatar first...if it's a repeat basher..I just scroll on down.

If there was any real supervision on this system there could not be hateful, racist, anti-woman or anti-GLBT language about others. People who did so would simply disappear never to return.

Just lash out against them, pacifism tactics quit working in 70's.
Don't just take it, fight back!

people get offended easily (and im one of them) by different things (for example the word "retarted" offends me because i work with people who are actually disabled and my sister is disabled), and sometimes you just have to remember that some people are out to piss other people off...some people just dont give a ****. try not to take things to heart...especially from people that dont know you.

There's a possibility that an answer may make them understand just that little bit more. :-)
