I don't think they're as bad as Simon has tried telling us all. It wouldn't make any difference now anyway, if they stood there and delivered the best performance of a song ever known to mankind, he is so spiteful towards them that he would still be petty and mean. he's so obsessed with his little pet Leona that he'd sell his mother if he thought it would keep her in.
it upsets me to see those two boys stand there week in and week out and have to listen to his mean comments, and Sharon is no help, 'very nice' why can't she just stand up for them, it's not going to kill her. She accused Simon of wanting Dionne out from the very first week and made a huge production out of it, yet she says nothing at all in their defence.I have not enjoyed this series and I have totally lost respect for Simon Cowell. I hope people begin to get tired of his fawning over the Mariah Carey wannabe and start voting for Ben to win, and I hope the MacDonald's stay for as long as possible, if only to annoy Mr Cowell

I think Simon is being far too unfair on them because unlike some of the other contestants, every one of their performances have been note perfect. They have the same kind of charm to the Everly Brothers and the Righteous Brothers.
Having said that, I think they may be as good as Ray but they're definitely not better than Eton Road. OK, Eton Road have been let down by sore throats and bad song choices, but they do have that special something, that x factor, which will shine through properly with the right training and music. After all, that's what the competition is all about. It's not enough that someone is a wonderful singer (like Robert). They have to have something unique about them and Eton Road certainly stand out as individuals, plus they are talented as a group too.

The McDonalds come over as two lovely lads, and you could listen to them alnight as they are easy to listen to. I cannot stand Ray I thought he would go. I think Simon let Robert down he said he would go by the best performance out of the two of them and Eton Road were crap sat. night but he was thinking of his pocket. While Simon continues to be so rude to the brothers they will get voted in, I used to like Simon Cowell, but on this series I really dislike him.

They're OK, but they remind me of all the Irish Eurovision Song contest entries of the 1970's & 80's - nice blokes in cardigans, playing guitars. I've nothing against them as such, but they shouldn't still be on the show. They do not have the 'x-factor'.
Now that hunky Ben, on the other hand... I have to go and have a little calm down after he's been on.

i'm afraid i can't agree with you...lol
They drive me mad every time they sing! Watch them they keep looking at each other to make sure the other is still there and hasn't scarpered...lol watch it and you'll see what I mean.
They do seem really genuine guys so I wish them all the best and hope they get a recording contract as they are not as bad as some I could mention!!

I like the MacDonald Brothers to a certain degree.
They are always in tune and their harmonies are great but they are just soooooooooooo boring!! They just stand and sing, there is no performance, no energy!
Gutted that Robert went out last night..... he rocked my world!!

They're nice guys but there's no way they deserve to be there. With Ashley an Robert gone and them still in it it's just horribly unfair. The competition just doesn't make any sense when genuinely talented people are being kicked off yet they're still there and they're not even average.
