We roasted a turkey yesterday and had major juice/fat spillover at one point. Instead of stopping the cooking and wiping up the grease, we continued to roast the turkey so now the grease is caked on. We couldn't even bake biscuits because the grease ignited and caused a fire.

Does anyone have tips on how to clean this? I tried the self-clean button and it caused another fire so I quickly turned it off. Any help would be appreciated...this oven is a week old :(

reckoning on your range, there could be a button that asserts self sparkling or a knob you need to substitute. All you need to do is be certain the oven has no longer something in it (no baking sheets, etc) and activate self sparkling. maximum ovens will lock, and could warmth as much as a severe temperature. some will beep once you're finished. this is a great characteristic to have, and a lot much less confusing than cleansing it your self! be certain you look up your oven make/kind on line - you may properly be waiting to locate someone handbook that supplies you greater distinctive training.
