To be quite conservative (not too bling) and not too pricey.
Would appreciate shop details too. Many thanks.

I like to wear big chunky silver ones with unusual designs. Most of mine are 1960s originals and bought for very little from a charity shop...Try local flea markets too...

Oh, and a long chain is better all round. I have wrecked so many smaller chains from forgetting about them and then trying to remove the polo neck...

Anything in white gold, or silver. A box chain, thin rope chain, or any style that is thin and long. Avoid any charms, or pendants that are bulky or too large. Sometimes just a chain can look very "smart". One of my personal favorites is Jade. It looks very exotic and not a lot of people have it. Also great pricing on HSN and QVC.

You can try Wal-mart they have some very nice jewelry. Target, Sears, J.C. Penny's, Kohl's, Boscov's all stores like these has sales right now because of holidays. HSN or QVC have live shows and web sites that have great deals

Remember you can even get some "costume jewelry at the above mentioned stores that look very pretty as well.

Good Luck!

go to claire's at the mall and find a simple silver chain necklace or find a really long strand of pearl necklace to layer in 2.

i just bought some lovely beads from miss selfridge to go with a long necked top. they dont have it on their website but it has black, pearl and silver beads and looks really sophisticated. it also has a matching bracelet. i think for both of them it cost me £14

long strands of beads look great doubled over or knotted, but not those huge, ugly ones - try smaller round beads or faceted to catch a little for light. go for black beads for a subtle look or another colour for more contrast.
