Because most countries have become so self centered all they care about is increasing their wealth. Just look at the answers on Yahoo. If they have theirs that's all they care about. We live in a world where Bono is more concerned with mankind than the administration or the evangelical right. Where Cher has to equip our troops with gear that should have been given to them by the administration before they ever sent them into war. Where Michael J. Fox and Steve Reeves have to go out and fight for medical help for the people.

In the poorest parts of India, young girl babies were slaughtered and the families blamed a roving 'mythical' creature. Throughout Eastern Europe, young women are conned into believing there are legitimate jobs in the prosperous Western states, and then held prisoner and used as prostitutes, having been raped and drugged into submission.
These things don't generally touch the lives of Middle Class voters, so politicians don't care. They are only interested in 'vote-winners' when it comes to policy making.

Because there are as many of these child rapers over here in America as in other countries.Yet everyone is mad at President Bush for wanting to kick *** & clean house!
Just look at 20/20!Did you ever believe there were so many men trying to have sex with 13yr old girls?I wanted to go throught the TV & choke them until they crapped themselves then give them life without parole!

The other part of the atrocity is that there is a demand for these girls. The police, FBI, and INS are always working to fight this.
