Mike Stanton lately has not been as great pitching as in the past, but if you need someone for one or two outs, he most likely will be your man. Alex Gonzalez is a great addition. His glove is great and his batting average has gone up this year while in Boston. It's a shame the Red Sox did not resign him, because they have not a great short stop in a while, however, I think they will fit in well with the Reds orginization.

Mike Stanton was done when he was with the mets. Alex Gonzalez is a sterling Glove but he couldnt hit his way out of a wet paper bag. The Days of Stanton as a dominant lefty reliever (circa his Yankee days) are long gone. so, i dont see either helping Reds much

A-Gone will be a fine addition. He succeeded in the AL, so I am guessing his BA will be atleast 10-15 points higher in the NL.
Stanton I am not so sure about. He is getting pretty old, and was never lights out.
