Theres a girl at work who is hilarious honestly, she has ginger frizzy hair, shes rather humongous, massive in fact and she has a slight speech impediment. We just crack up every break time when she waddles in to the staff room, I dropped my *** into my coffee the other day coz i was laughing so hard. Thing is, she says shes leaving coz shes sick of our constant jibes, she knows we all hate working there and she knows that she is the only thing that brightens our otherwise dreary days, how can she be so selfish? Do you think if I pretended that we would stop she would stay? She thinks of nobody but her bloody self that one.

I think you should stop constantly giving the poor bloated ginger minge verbal g-g-g-g-grief and instead put pictures of her up on the wall with the words"W-W-WATCH OUT F-F-F-F-FAT G-G-G-G-GINGER AB-B-B-B-BOUT" underneath thus never having to actually speak about her again and with any luck she will stay.

why don't u give her a go at being a friend? she may be all of the above but she may also have a wicked sense of humour & be a right laugh to socialize with.
we should have friends from all backgrounds & then we could all be happy, also count yr self lucky u have time at work to mock others, i work in an emergency control centre for an emergency service & we have no time at all to judge each other, fat or thin, short & hairy or just plain f***ing ugly we all have a special place within our team that makes the system work & after a 12hr shift we go out get tipsy & take the p*ss out of each other because we know that what ever we look like, our team works well day to day togeather.

Honestly, I don't blame her for wanting to leave. I would too if everyone were constantly laughing at me. Do you honestly think that her only purpose in life is to bring you amusement? She's a person just like you, and you need to respect her feelings. Otherwise, I hope she does leave and finds a better place to work where people are civilized and won't make judgements about her.

you're being so mean to this girl! my inclination is that she's on to guys making fun of her, on to the fact that she is constantly the butt of your jokes....which is terribly insensitive and rude. ...i think what she means by her saying that she is the only that brightens your guyses day is a response to your constant ridicule of her (whether in her face or not, ppl catch on to this)--i think she means to say that she is the only thing that brightens your day because you get so much joy out of making fun of her and putting her down. she's probably wrong, you probably do get joy from other things, but i think she's just sayign this as a comeback. in no way is your story telling me that she thinks of nothing but herself. if you pretended that you would stop, i doubt she would stay....shes probably sick of your "constant jibes" aka TALKING **** ABOUT HER! dont do it....talking **** makes you come off as extremely ignorant and low...why would you want to bring yourself to such a level? be a BIG person!

You're accusing her of being selfish?
This girl has absolutely every right to leave her job because of you having a joke on her behalf. How would YOU feel if every time you walked into a room everyone started laughing at you? Would YOU like to feel degraded like this on a constant basis?
Quite frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself, firstly because you're being so cruel to her because of the way she is and secondly because you're accusing her of being selfish, simply because she wants to save what few scraps of dignity she has left.
If I was your boss, and I found out about how you've been treating one of your fellow employees, my impression of you would be quite a low one and I'd be wondering how professional you really are if you're laughing about someone because they have a speech impediment.

That sounds so mean of you guys. She is not selfish at all. In fact it sounds like she is hurting so bad! Why would you ever laugh at someone who is less than perfect. You say she is funny. But you guys only seem to laugh at her body and hair. Grow up.....and be nice to people.
