Any reason why I can't/shouldn't use individual eyelash adhesive on strip eyelashes?

Yes, you absolutely can use the adhesive on a strip lash. I do eyelash extensions of all types and have even used my extension glue on a strip lash. It will just be harder to remove if you choose to take it off. You may need to use either an adhesive remover or baby oil to loosen the bond.

It's a stronger adhesive, since you usually don't take individual lashes off at the end of the day (or night).
