I'll always remember Canada Day, my Dad passed away that day, two years ago. I try not to get sad and I celebrate his life instead of mourning his death. This past Canada Day I spent it with my husband and my little girl. We built a fire out back and star watched :)

We had a picnic/barbecue. We always do. There is a raft parade of decorated rafts on the lake. We took the neighbor kids out to see it. It was raining by the time anyone did fireworks. There were fireworks a few nights before, big cool ones, in town and we could see and hear them. When exactly IS Canada Day. I am ashamed to say that I don't know! And I live in Michigan about 100 miles from the border. :o(
