I hope everyone will have a different answer to tell you.
Mine is a corn salad I make.
Recipe: 3/4 can red kidney beans, 1 can white corn, mixed;
add 3/4 of a yellow pepper, chopped very fine and 1/3 tsp. torn basil leaves. You can add a can of good tomato sauce, and make it as a sauce or even a soup; and it can be served hot or cold.
But I find the dish also needs one half of a presauteed brown onion, cut on the bias into strips and a dash of Hungarian paprika. This dish goes well with potatoes, dark meat turkey, bread or most any stuffing. Happy holidays!

Our typical menu would be: Chicken breasts and dressing, sweet potatoe casserole, english pea salad, cranberries, green bean casserole, hot rolls, tea and soft drinks, mashed potatoes, corn - for dessert, pecan pie, chocolate pie and maybe lemon or coconut pie, also a vegetable tray. My favorite is probaby sweet potatoe casserole and chocolate pie. Yummmmmmmmm!!!!!
