I know that you can buy color-changing beads that change color when exposed to UV light. The link below is to one place that you can order them, but they're probably available from lots of science toy kinds of stores. You can flatten these so that they are shaped like disks rather than like beads.
You could take a bunch of these and put different sun screens on them and then expose them to sunlight and see how long it takes them to change color. This site actually suggests doing that very same experiment...
