If the snake grabs the mouse but won't consume it, she could be too nervous to eat in front of you. Rosy boas are very shy. After you've given her the mouse, completely darken the room and leave her alone for twenty minutes to eat. Don't be tempted to peek while you wait!

I kept a rosy boa for several years until recently, and often had trouble getting her to feed. I eventually worked out that if she had no water for ~1 week she would feed much better (website sources will tell you a week without water is no problem for a rosy boa). After feeding you should obviously offer water as normal.

Also as a technique for getting snakes to feed - split the prey animal's head open with a screwdriver and smear the brain over its head. Put some on your snake's nose too if you can, then offer the prey again. If you feed live prey (which is entirely unnecessary) you might have to smear the brain of one beast on another live one. Bit nasty but I've had it work with several snakes who won't feed.

My snake does the same thing often times with boas and pythons they go through phases when they don't eat and don't worry snakes can live up to a year without food something you could try is feeding it a gerbil or hamster instead of the usual rat/mouse depending on the size of your boa or try a different color rat/prey sometimes that works too
