The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

on the driver side windshield you will find a "vin" number. you can call an insurance company and they can let you know or you can enter it into a search engine and enter the make of the truck and type in the vin number and it should come up with the year. another idea is if you are the owner you can request new titles for the trucks.

You can tell alot about the car from the serial number gear ratio, trans., chassie, and year is the tenth digit from left to right. A-80, B-81, and so there is no I because it's to similar to 1, and no O because of zero.

I never heard of Smith&Wesson do any thing like this before. The 66 in 357 is a nice piece and should be worth $200. plus. It also depends on barrel length, state regulation were you live, guns over all condition and how much the buyer wants it.
