This forum would lose 90% of it's questions if people would click Google before asking the obvious.

Yes, but the advice here is so much better than anything you could find on the Internet through a Google search.

If you want any old answer use Google or some other search engine to find a web site that quotes original source material. But, if you want an intelligent answer, clearly Yahoo Answers is the place to find it.

Unfortunately, reality does not exist, it is simply a point of view. Often I see questions where people refer to this programme on Fox, or that show on CBS, and remember the US banned Al-Jazeera from Iraq (and tried to blow up 2 of its offices) because it would not tell their truth. Al-Jazeera is a respected news agency, with the same standing as Reuters in Switzerland, and the BBC in the UK, yet is called radical because it wouldn't represent Western 'spin'.
Everyone has a different view of reality based on the presentations they see, their preferred news sources (newspapers and tv), and are led by the editorial slant of that particular source. The truth is something that moves, and is never really pinned down.
Just because people express different opinions does not make 90% of them wrong, they are just reading from a different songsheet.

You're missing the point of YA. It's about interaction. It's not about checking google or Yahoo! for answers. It's about asking a question and getting human responses. Fun for those of us that like to interact with other people; even anonymously.

The purpose of logging onto Yahoo answers is to participate in the questions and answers. Why Google, when you can ask other people their opinion instead of just receiving a dictionary definition.

I know what you're talking about - the stupid things like "Is Columbia a Country?". That is pure laziness. I've also found a lot of kids log in here to get others to do their homework for them - ie: "Give me 3 reasons ship building was important to the colonies".

True. But the fact is, many of those question-askers would suddenly find themselves bored out of their minds(reason: they often get their kicks and/or pass their time asking questions on Yahoo).

I couldn't agree with you more!
I wish I could give you two thumbs up.

Just look at the really obvious ones as another opportunity to score two points, and then move on.
