No, I think it means that your brother is strongly empathetic (i.e., feels what the other person is feeling) and naturally wants to connect with his friends, especially if he's doing this unintentionally. Everyone does it to some extent. People even unconsciously mimic the characters on their favorite TV shows! No worries that your brother is going bonkers or anything, he's probably just a nice guy who cares about his friends.
I would worry, though, if his friends didn't really pick up any of his little phrases or whatever, or if he was doing this on purpose to be liked and accepted. That's so high school.

You hit the nail on the Head, Yes it is a diffinite indication of Low Self Esteme. Wow and he's 25-years old, better talk to him, point it out to him and get him help! Good Luck! Keep him away from Keep him away from shady guys if you can, God only knows what he might do... really, get him some help. He has more then low self esteme, I don't think he has any esteme, no example to follow, where has your father been in all of this, and his life?

could be intentional or unintentional...could be he heard somewhere that people like people who are like themself, so he unconsciously tries to be like them to be accepted. Is he aware of that? Maybe you should bring it to his attention. Is there someone in your family he takes after that does that same thing?
or maybe he is just being sarcastic and mocking the person he meets (maybe he picks that up from friends he's been around) thinking they will laugh or change..

your brother is probably trying to become his own person and he is just trying to see witch person he feels most comfortable.
also when anybody hangs around with anybody they tend to pic up certain habits or the things they like most about the person they are with.
he is just trying to fit in. and really at 25 yrs. old he must really be lost in who he wants to be or were he wants to go in life. but sooner, or later, we will decide who, and what he is, and what he wants. maybe you should bring it up to him and see what he's got to say

No, I dont think it's a personality disorder. People adopt each other's habits when they're together long enough.
