You will be able to see the baby moving and its heartbeat.
You can make out arms and legs.
Is really cool. Had ours 7 weeks ago and are going for the 20 week next week. You'll love it.

My Dr's workplace doesn't agenda 12 week ultrasounds, purely 20 week. i have had some complications for the duration of my being pregnant although, so I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks. They regarded on the toddler, measured toddler, uterus, placenta, i'm not confident what else. the better area replaced into on condition that the toddler replaced into honestly placing out to look like a toddler at that aspect! Mine replaced into waving her hands in each and every single position and bouncing off the walls often times in the course of the ultrasound. (I say her with somewhat of luck, I even do not recognize what sex the toddler is yet) regrettably, they could't make sure the sex at 12 weeks, the genitals are developed sufficient at that aspect. (Their limbs, head and body are not even proportionate at that age) From all my on-line study (from medical elements) they extremely won't be able to make sure the sex of the toddler until eventually a minimum of 15-16 weeks and they in a good number of cases wait longer than that to attempt to make confident they're good. Congratulations and income from the ultrasound, it replaced into a good number of interesting at 12 weeks!

It is the best experience ever. You will be excited and anxious at the same time. You should be able to see the outline of the baby and it may even move for you. Make sure you get a picture to show to everyone and ask everything you want to know. You won't really be able to see the face clearly as at the 12 week scan the baby is still tiny. But you will still be able to tell it's your baby.
Good luck.

You will lay on a bed and the technician will apply some jelly to the area to be checked. Then he or she will take some thing that will look like your P.C. mouse and go over the area with the jelly,it in turn will send a picture to a screen and some will be saved in that computer to be read by a physician.
The whole thing is totally painless. Good luck,Es

First they'll explain to you what's going to happen. Then they'll rub lubricant over your tummy.
Then they'll pass the camera thing over your tummy for a few minutes. You'll be able to see the baby as they do this. They'll point out the head, arms, legs etc as they do this.
At the end, you'll get a little picture to take home with you.
It will look like an alien, but don't worry - they all do :-)

It's a wonderful moment - first time you see your baby. But it's spoiled, slightly, by the fact that you'll be absolutely busting for a wee.
Nothing at all to worry about - they'll check measurements etc and then give you a print out to keep.
Good luck x

The baby will be fully formed but in minature. The heartbeat will be checked and you will be given an accurate due date. Make sure you drink plenty. Good luck.
