Maybe in 20 years, California will actually have a bullet train running up and down the 5 Freeway. That would totally take congestion off the roads. I would love it because I could go own to see my family in SoCal much faster.

It would be totally cool to have the bullet train by 2015.

I think it would be nice if California seceded from the union. We are pretty much our own country anyway. But, because the Central Valley of California practically feeds the whole nation and other nations, I highly doubt this will happen.

Hey now, those horses pulling their buggies have to travel somewhere. And the only way California would secede would be if all the government offices and 90% of the people living there were Mexicans and they voted to secede and go back to being part of Mexico. Never happen.

Seriously, it will still be roads... smaller and smarter cars. We won't get smart enough to actually make use of the rail-right of ways...

As to California seceding, it didn't occur in the 70's 80's or 90's... so it won't occur. Our Democratic base needs the federal handouts.
