Yeah, I'm working a night shift

WTF is with the thumbs down?
I work in a 7*24, 365 days a year job so someone has to work Xmas day.
And for double time, with 2 days off in lieu of working it I'm quite happy.
I'm 200 miles from my family, over 300 from my girlfriend, so would rather be at work than at home.
The pain this year is we are short staffed so I have to work New Year as well.............. usually I work Xmas and get 5 or 6 days off for New Year.

Every year, a group of people here in my city, supply a christmas dinner for those that are homeless and those that have no one to celebrate christmas with. This is the first year that I haven't had anyone to celebrate christmas with (family lives far away), so I am going to go serve those less fortunate than myself. God bless.

Hi! My 5 y/o twins and I will be driving to Kansas (we live in South Dakota) to see my mom and grandma, cousins ect. It will be a lot of fun. I can't wait! I think Santa will be visiting us as well;) While my kids are playing with all the other children there, I think the adults will play poker and have some spiked egg nog...How about you?

watch television, be here on the Internet, and dream of Christmas Days gone by when I had a family and friends near to me. moved away from my home town and there are the residents here but no family or close friends
