3 3/5= 3.6
2 1/2 = 2.5
so

3.6/2.5

move the decimal over 1 on both numbers

36/25 = 1 11/25

3 3/5 (3.6) / 2 1/2 (2.5) = 1 11/25 or 1.44
you can also turn 3 3/5 into 18/5 and 2 1/2 into 5/2 then you cross multiply and divide. 18 * 2 = 36
5 *5 = 25
36/25 = 1 11/25

Well, change 3 3/5 and 2 1/2 to an improper fractions...so it'd be
18/5 divided by 5/2 . To divide a fraction, you must multiply 18/5 by 5/2's reciprocal which is 2/5...so
18/5 x 2/5 = 36/25 which is equal to about 1 44/100 when you divide 36 by 25 which is also equal to 1 11/25 when simplified
Hope this helps!

First, let's change these mixed numbers to improper fractions:
The problem becomes
18/5 divided by 5/2.
Now invert the divisor and multiply
18/5 * 2/5 = 36/25 = 1 11/25.
You went wrong because you forgot to invert
the divisor before you multiplied, so what
you got was the product of 18/5 and 5/2, which
does equal 9.
Hope that helps!

Change the mixed numbers into improper fractions.
3 3r5=18r5
2 1r2=5r2

So now your equation is 18r5 / 5r2
Remember how to divide fractions: Flip the second number and multiply.
18r5 x 2r5
=36r25
=1 11r25
