John Melvoin died of a heroin overdose in 1996. He was drummer with 80's punk bad The Dickies and was last noted for playing keyboard with The Smashing Pumpkins.

jim morrison did not knowingly do heroin. (some say he MAY have snorted some of pamela's before his death, thinking it was cocaine, but it was not listed as cause of death) he hated heroin with a passion and thought himself allergic to opiates.
