Major police drives all over the country taking out dealers... Also increased security at air & sea ports because of terrorism makes it very difficult for anything to be smuggled in - bomb dogs sniff out drugs too, and random bag searches have increased a hundredfold.

Fresh weed is hard to come by too at the moment but there are bits of homegrown around. The shortage is worse for resin because it has to be manufactured, making it unlikely that anyone will do this if they just grow a few plants.

My 'friends who smoke it' are having trouble too...

the price on the street got that low,the smugglers would of called it a day,i meen where i live it went from 90 pound a ounce to 40 pounds a ounce all summer then ran out, even real heads in manchester couldnt get any. because skunk took some of the market, the smugglers big buyers importers, took a bit of a wage drop.but 40 pound an ounce ,it wasnt worth it with the customs being red alert at docks airports ferry ports, mybe switched to the powders.

According to "friends of mine who smoke", its because there are so many people growing Skunk in the UK at the moment. It doesnt have to be imported, so the people who used to smuggle the resin are now growing it themselves. Theres less risk involved for them.

It's to do with the stricter security due to numbassed terrorists blocking their own supplies getting in.

because they have been busting a lot of the big dealers recently so the smaller ones (who I assume your friend will get his off) cant get hold of it.
