Why do you believe Americans like to wear thier shoes whilst lying on top of a bed? I don't, and neither do anyone else I know.

I'm American and I don't even wear shoes in the house! You must have been around some disgusting American, probably from the North.
Absolutely disgusting to think of lying on top of a bed with them on.

I dont know of any Americans who wear there shoes on their bed, I dont. Maybe some are lazy.

Probably for the same reason that English Gentleman feel it necessary to fold their clothes into neat piles before having sex (with their socks on)
