My friend has an easy job but doesn't earn so much, should he stay with his easy life or train for a more challenging position - he is 31 living in UK.

Definately train for a better future and a better job. My job is not easy but it pays very well and has completely changed my life now i dont have any money worries

If he's happy in his job he should stay, he could do rigorous traing and end up in a job he totally hates. I don't think money should be the biggest issue. Job satisfaction and really liking it is more important. I took a £30 a week paycut to change my job and I love it.

Easy job because I dont earn that much but I love my job and I know that it doesnt give me much stress and that money isnt everything.

you should do a job you like. unlike my fiancee who has been waitressing for 4 years nearly 5. she does it for the pay.
but my personal view is keep to a job that you like.
your mate should do the more challenging aspect of a career.
this will bring him something to look forward to in his life were he is doing something easy but is not, getting any career aspects from it.

If you are going to Med School, Take the higher paying job. This will minimize your student loan amount total. You can relax and play later. Save as much as you can for college, now.
