What's the better choice and why would you not choose the other.

If you're into off-roading, nothing can beat the Wrangler, probably except the Hummer H1. The Hummer H3 only has an inline-5 engine and is severely under-powered. It doesn't get great MPG either. The Wrangler has better off-roading capabilities, is more rugged, has a V6 and 4 doors for 2007 and nothing can beat it.

Hummer H1 definitely way way better than the Jeep. It is the real Hummer that is proclaimed by the media to be the tough and powerful vehicle. The reason is because these H1s were originally built by American Motors Corporation (AMC) specifically for the US Army going into WW2 and Vietnam war. So obviously it is a tough off-road vehicle which can do everything & is much better than Jeep.
Lately though, GMC/Chevy have acquired American Motors because they had more money & they built the H2 & H3 as street legal Hummers. But in reality we know that GMC are a crap company, so their H2 & H3 have become crap vehicles as well. They price it very high claiming that is like a military vehicle, but in reality they are just disguised Chevy SUVs and Trucks, which clearly are not as good as the Jeep or any other tough vehicles. That is why now Hummers are getting a bad rep.
If you really wanna buy a Hummer, get the H1 - it is expensive yes, but it is worth every single cent you spend on it. Better than Jeep too. However, to answer your question, the Jeep is way better than the overpriced H3 junk.

I personally wouldn't choose either between those two, but if I HAD to I'd choose the Jeep. We had one for a couple years and it WAS fun but not very comfortable to ride in. I think the Hummer is the most ridiculous looking car made. Looks like a Lego car plus it HAS to be terrible on gas.

If it is a choice between the two then DEFINITELY the Jeep.
Hummers are a waste of space and a colossal waste of energy. Not to mention they are eyesores... a little worse than those silly Azteks (or whatever they are). At least the Azteks don't use 10 gallons of gas to go 4 miles...
But seriously, the Jeep is a LOT more versatile... especially if you really want to use it for camping, backpacking, etc... costs A LOT less in the long run and I think look a lot better to boot.

Jeep Wrangler all the way..............unless you want to drive a heavy box with wheels that wastes gas like crazy; hence, the Hummer

Jeep, hummers are just not all that great plus i think they r ugly, basically they r a fad people think they r cool if they drive a hummer
