I've been to both cities and I can tell you with absolute certainty that Rome is where my heart lies.

I found Paris to be dirty and unaccommodating. In fact, I am not the only one check out this study:

Rome on the other hand is downright amazing. The History, the sites, the night life the culture. I speak Spanish, as many do in the U.S. these days, and found that I had a fairly easy time with Italian because of it. The taxis in Rome are pretty inexpensive; you can easily get from one side of Rome to the other in less than 6 Euro.

I can't tell you enough how much I loved Rome. Imagine walking down an old side street window shopping, and, at the end of the street, towering in all of its majestic glory is the Coliseum. Indeed, it’s almost surreal. There is so much to see and do in Rome; you can spend all day exploring the Vatican for very little money.

My fiance is also in love with Rome. In fact, I don't really know anyone who's been and not fallen in love with the city. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

I think Rome is nicer to live in and Italian language sounds better than the French.
